It is the Wedding Player app, fully customisable. There is no separate purchase: rename the moments and it fits a funeral, memorial or celebration of life.

Your Order of Service

Rename and Reorder the Moments

Wedding Player builds moments for each part of the day, each with its own music and fades. Nothing ties those names to a wedding. Rename them to match the order of service, and drag to reorder them into the right running order.

  • Processional Entrance
  • During the ceremony Reflection
  • Signing the register Committal
  • Recessional Closing music

A Quiet, Dark Screen

Wedding Player main player in dark mode showing a funeral order of service

Set Wedding Player to dark mode in its settings, or let it follow your device's automatic light and dark mode. Either way, in a quiet, solemn setting the screen stays dark and low-glare, so the phone or iPad in your hand is unobtrusive. Switch to Go Live mode and the controls become large and panic-proof: one tap does the right thing, and the screen can be handed to any helper with no training.

Why It Works

Built for a Moment That Cannot Go Wrong

Plays offline

No WiFi at the chapel or crematorium? It does not matter. Your music plays locally from the device, with no streaming and nothing to stall.

Hold until ready

Set a moment to loop until you are ready, then advance with a tap. Hold gently on the committal or a reflection without watching a clock.

Gentle fades

Fade any piece out at the right moment with a single tap. No abrupt stops, no fumbling for the right control.

Panic-proof controls

Go Live mode locks the interface down to large, unmissable controls, so anyone can run the music calmly on the day.

For Celebrants, Officiants & Funeral Directors

Reset Between Services

Whether you are a celebrant, officiant or funeral director running music for more than one service, the Professional Licence lets you fully reset the app with one tap: every event, track and personalisation wiped for a clean start before the next. One licence covers unlimited services, from £5.99 a month or £49.99 a year, with a free month to start.

FAQ

Funeral & Memorial Questions

Is there a separate funeral app?
A dedicated funeral app is in development. In the meantime, Wedding Player already does everything described here today: it is the same app, with fully customisable moments. Rename them to match your order of service (Entrance, Reflection, Committal, Closing music) and reorder them with a drag, and it fits a funeral, memorial or celebration of life just as well as a wedding.
Will it play without WiFi?
Yes. Wedding Player is built for offline playback. Wedding Player Originals and any audio files you have added play locally with no connection needed, which matters in chapels and crematoria where WiFi is unreliable or absent. On iOS, Apple Music tracks need to be downloaded beforehand (the app checks this for you).
Can I hold a piece of music until the family is ready?
Yes. Set any moment to loop until you are ready, and it keeps playing. When you are ready, it advances to the next moment. This is ideal for holding gently on the committal or a moment of reflection without watching a clock.
Is it discreet to use during a service?
Yes. Set Wedding Player to dark mode in its settings, or let it follow your device's automatic light and dark mode, so the screen stays dark and low-glare in a quiet, solemn setting. In Go Live mode the controls become large and panic-proof, so a single tap does the right thing and the screen can be handed to any helper.
Do I need a music licence?
For a typical private UK service, generally not. PRS for Music and PPL both operate discretionary policies under which they do not charge for music at weddings, funerals, or religious services. This is general information about UK practice as of 2026, not legal advice; check with the venue and the collecting societies for your circumstances.
I look after several services. Can I reset between them?
Yes, with the Professional Licence. After one service, tap to fully reset the app: all events, tracks and personalisation are wiped for a clean start before the next. The licence is £5.99 a month or £49.99 a year, with a free month to start. See the Professionals page for details.
