Wedding Player Is Now on Android

Wedding Player is now on Android. You can download it today from the Google Play Store.

Wedding Player began as one dad building an app for his daughter’s wedding ceremony. From the start the goal was simple: take the panic out of ceremony music for every couple, whatever phone they happen to own. Today that gets a lot easier, because Wedding Player is no longer iPhone and iPad only.

The same app, now on your Android phone

This is not a stripped-back companion version. The Android app is a fully featured equivalent of the iOS one. Couples on Google Play get the same product couples on the App Store get:

  • The same ceremony timeline: prelude, processional, signing the register, recessional, each moment built exactly the way you want it.
  • Wedding Player Originals: the curated collection of 36 fully licensed instrumental tracks, ready to use straight away, no extra purchase, no subscription.
  • Go Live Mode: hand your phone to a friend, a family member or your venue co-ordinator and every other button is locked. The play controls are oversized and impossible to get wrong.
  • Trim and Fade: set the exact in-point and out-point for any track, with smooth fades, so the song starts and ends precisely when you want it to.
  • Crossfades between moments so transitions glide rather than slam.
  • 100% offline playback. Every track lives on your device. No streaming, no buffering, no signal required.

If you have read about any of these features on the iPhone version, they are all here on Android too.

One honest difference

There is one thing the Android app does not do, and we would rather tell you plainly than let you find out later. There is no Apple Music integration on Android. Apple Music integration is an Apple technology that only exists inside iOS apps, so it cannot be built into an Android app.

That does not change what your ceremony can sound like. On Android you build your ceremony from your own music files (the audio you already own) and from Wedding Player Originals, the 36-track instrumental collection included with the app. Between your own tracks and the Originals, you have everything you need to put together a complete ceremony.

For the record, there is no Spotify integration on either platform. Spotify does not allow other apps to play its tracks in the kind of controlled, offline, fade-managed way a ceremony needs.

Pricing is the same too

For couples, Wedding Player is £7.99, a one-off purchase. No subscription, no recurring charges, no auto-renewal. Buy it once and it is yours, for your wedding and any ceremony after it. There is also a free demo so you can try everything before you buy.

If you run ceremony music as a business (a venue, a celebrant, a co-ordinator), the Wedding Professional Licence (£79.99/year) covers unlimited weddings with a clean reset between couples.
