Overview
Wedding Player is a purpose-built app for managing and playing ceremony music at weddings, available now on iOS with the Android version in the final stages of development. It works offline, supports smooth crossfade transitions, and features Live Mode with oversized controls designed for nervous guests. The app ships with Wedding Player Originals, a curated collection of 35 fully licensed instrumental ceremony tracks, so couples can run a complete ceremony with no Apple Music subscription and no need to source their own audio. Available as a one-time purchase for couples (£7.99) or as an annual Professional Licence for venues, celebrants, and co-ordinators who run ceremony music across multiple weddings (£49.99/year).

The Story
Wedding Player was created by Don McAllister, founder of ScreenCastsOnline , a video tutorial service he started as a hobby 20 years ago that grew into a successful Apple training platform. Now semi-retired, he built Wedding Player for his daughter's wedding in March 2026. He needed an app that could reliably handle ceremony music: offline, with smooth transitions, and controls simple enough for anyone to operate flawlessly. So he built one. After it worked perfectly on the day, he decided to make it available for every couple planning their wedding.
