## The Story

Wedding Player was created by Don McAllister, a semi-retired tech content creator and former owner of ScreenCastsOnline, for his daughter Nicola's wedding in March 2026. When he needed ceremony music that just worked — offline, perfectly timed, and impossible to mess up under pressure — nothing existed. He couldn't find an app that mixed custom-edited tracks with streaming songs in a single playlist, protected against someone tapping the wrong version, and faded a song at the exact moment she reached the altar. So he built one.

It worked flawlessly on the day, and the venue co-ordinator asked for a copy afterwards, unprompted. That was the moment he knew it wasn't just a personal project.
