We're here to make sure your ceremony music is perfect.

How Wedding Player Works

What is Wedding Player?
  1. 1. Wedding Player is a ceremony music app designed for the day itself, not for streaming or discovery, but for reliable, offline playback when it matters most.
  2. 2. You build a playlist for each part of your ceremony (called a Moment), queue them in order, then hand the phone to your venue coordinator or a trusted friend.
  3. 3. On the day, one tap starts the music. No Wi-Fi required, no notifications, no surprises.
  4. 4. Wedding Player works with music from your own files, Apple Music, or our built-in collection of original ceremony tracks.
What is a Moment?
  1. 1. A Moment is a named section of your ceremony, for example Walking Down The Aisle, Signing the Register, or Recessional.
  2. 2. Each Moment has its own playlist of music tracks that play in order. The right music plays at exactly the right time, without any manual switching. And when the Moment ends, the music can be faded out with a simple tap, just when it's needed. The next moment is lined up automatically, ready to play with a single tap.
  3. 3. Wedding Player comes with five default Moments: Guests Arriving, Walking Down The Aisle, Signing The Register, The Couple Leaving and Wedding Breakfast. You can rename, reorder, add, or remove them to match your ceremony.
  4. 4. Moments are grouped into Daytime and Evening sections, so the app stays organised for longer celebrations.
Next Steps
  1. 1. Follow the detailed instructions below to start personalising your moments and tracks to fit your ceremony.

Getting Started

How do I set up my ceremony moments?
  1. 1. Tap the "Edit Moments" button next to Rehearsal Mode to open the Moment Manager.
  2. 2. You'll see the current list of moments organised into Daytime and Evening Sections. From this screen, you can delete a moment or drag to re-order.
  3. 3. To add a new moment, tap the "+ Add Moment" button.
  4. 4. Tap any moment to open it to rename it, or to move it to Daytime or Evening Segment and tap "Save Changes"
How do I add music to a moment? iOS
  1. 1. Tap any moment, then tap + Add Tracks (or if you already have tracks in that moment, tap on the Tracks button on the moment row)
  2. 2. Then choose Add Local Files to import from the Files app (MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF).
  3. 3. Or choose Add Originals to browse Wedding Player's built-in ceremony tracks.
  4. 4. Or choose Add Apple Music to search and add Apple Music tracks (an active Apple Music subscription is required).
  5. 5. Tracks play in order. Drag to reorder them within a moment.

  2. 2. Tap + Add Tracks to import MP3, M4A, or WAV files from your device storage.
  3. 3. Or choose Originals to browse Wedding Player's built-in ceremony tracks.
  4. 4. Tracks play in order. Drag to reorder them within a moment.
How do I switch to Live Mode for the ceremony?
  1. 1. Tap Go Live when you're ready to hand over control.
  2. 2. Wedding Player runs a pre-flight check first, flagging any missing tracks or offline issues before switching to the large-control interface.
  3. 3. Fix any warnings before the ceremony. Don't dismiss them and hope for the best.
  4. 4. We recommend running through this during rehearsal so there are no surprises on the day.
How do I make Apple Music tracks available offline? iOS
  1. 1. Open the Offline Readiness checklist (tap the cloud icon in the moment list).
  2. 2. Any tracks not yet downloaded will show a warning.
  3. 3. Open the Music app and download the Wedding Player Ceremony playlist. This playlist is created automatically for you.
  4. 4. Return to Wedding Player. Each track should show a green tick.
  5. 5. Test playback in Airplane Mode the day before, not on the morning of the ceremony.

On The Day

What is the airplane icon in Live Mode?
  1. 1. The airplane icon shows whether Airplane Mode is on. When it's red, Airplane Mode is off and calls, texts, or system alerts could interrupt the ceremony.
  2. 2. Tap the icon to jump straight to Settings and switch Airplane Mode on. Once enabled, the indicator turns green.
  3. 3. Enable Airplane Mode before every ceremony, ideally during the pre-flight check when you first tap Go Live.
Can someone else control the music on the day?
  1. 1. Yes. Live Mode is designed exactly for this. Hand the phone to your venue coordinator or a trusted friend once Live Mode is active.
  2. 2. The large-button interface is straightforward to use without any knowledge of how the app was set up.
  3. 3. Brief them beforehand on which button starts each moment, and run a rehearsal so they're confident.
How do I prepare for offline use on the day?
  1. 1. All local audio files work offline automatically. No action needed.
  2. 2. For Apple Music tracks (iOS): download them via the Music app before the ceremony and verify with the Offline Readiness checklist.
  3. 3. Enable Airplane Mode during the ceremony to block calls and notifications.
  4. 4. Charge your device fully the night before. Keep the app in the foreground and don't close it between moments.

Troubleshooting

No sound is playing
  1. 1. Check the volume slider inside the moment; it may be at zero.
  2. 2. Check your device's physical volume buttons.
  3. 3. On iPhone, make sure the mute switch on the side of the device is off.
  4. 4. If using Bluetooth or an external speaker, confirm it's connected and selected as the audio output.
A track won't play or shows as missing iOS
  1. 1. For local files: the file may have been moved or deleted from the device. Remove it from the moment and re-import it.
  2. 2. For Apple Music tracks: check your subscription is active and the track is downloaded for offline use (see Offline Readiness in Settings).
  3. 3. If the file was in iCloud Drive and has been removed from your device, download it in the Files app first.
  4. 4. Try closing and reopening the app if the issue persists.
A track won't play or shows as missing Android
  1. 1. The file may have been moved or deleted from your device. Remove it from the moment and re-import it.
  2. 2. Check the file format is supported: MP3, M4A, and WAV files work. FLAC and OGG are not currently supported.
  3. 3. Try closing and reopening the app if the issue persists.
Volume levels are inconsistent between tracks
  1. 1. Wedding Player normalises volume automatically when you import a local file, bringing everything to a consistent level.
  2. 2. If a track still sounds noticeably louder or quieter, try removing and re-importing it.
  3. 3. On iOS, if Apple Music tracks vary in volume, check that Sound Check is enabled in Settings → Music on your iPhone.
I can't find Wedding Player Originals
  1. 1. Originals are built into the app. No download required.
  2. 2. Open a moment, tap Edit, then tap + Add Tracks → Originals to browse and preview the full collection.
A track has a padlock icon and won't play iOS
  1. 1. A padlock means the file has DRM protection and can't play outside Apple's own apps.
  2. 2. This affects music purchased from the iTunes Store before 2009, when Apple used FairPlay copy protection.
  3. 3. Check your iTunes purchase history. Apple has upgraded many older purchases to DRM-free versions you can re-download at no cost.
  4. 4. Alternatively, if the song is on Apple Music, add it directly inside Wedding Player without any file management.
A file doesn't appear when I tap Add Files iOS
  1. 1. The Files picker only shows files visible to the iOS Files app.
  2. 2. Make sure your file is in iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or a connected cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive (with their iOS apps installed).
  3. 3. If the file shows a cloud icon (not yet downloaded to the device), tap it once in the Files app to download it before importing.
Restore Purchases isn't working
  1. 1. Make sure you're signed in with the same account used for the original purchase.
  2. 2. Tap Restore Purchases in Settings → Account.
  3. 3. If it still doesn't work, contact support with your original purchase receipt.
