The Problem

Your Ceremony Music Deserves Better

One wrong tap and the wrong song plays

Your nervous friend is operating the phone. The whole library is one tap away. The wrong version, the wrong song, in front of everyone — and you can't redo the moment.

You can't mix Apple Music and custom tracks

You trimmed the perfect chorus in GarageBand. Now try adding it alongside an Apple Music track in a single playlist. You can't. No streaming app lets you.

No WiFi at the venue

Country churches, barns, marquees — none of them come with reliable signal. Streaming apps need WiFi you can't guarantee. One buffering moment during the processional is one too many.

The processional ends before you reach the altar

Twenty seconds in rehearsal. Thirty-five on the day. Playlists just play through — there's no graceful way to end a track tied to what's actually happening in the room.

WeddingPlayer solves all four. Your music, exactly as planned, nothing left to chance.

How It Works

Three Steps to Perfect Ceremony Music

1

Set Up

Build your ceremony timeline. Mix Apple Music tracks and custom-edited files in one playlist — the thing no other app can do

2

Rehearse

Test every transition at home. Aisle, signing, exit — each moment has its own playlist, fade settings, and controls

3

Go Live

Tap Go Live and hand the phone over. The playlist is locked. One oversized button. No wrong songs, no wrong versions — just play

The Story

Built for a Real Wedding

I'm an Apple tech guy. I've been teaching people how to use Apple products for over two decades. And when my daughter Nicola got married in March 2026, I couldn't make Apple Music work for her ceremony. I couldn't mix her custom-edited tracks with streaming songs in a single playlist. I couldn't protect against someone tapping the wrong version under pressure. And I couldn't fade a song at the exact moment she reached the altar. So I built the app that does all three. It worked flawlessly on the day — and the venue coordinator asked for a copy of the app afterwards, unprompted. That was the moment I knew it wasn't just a personal project.

FAQ

Common Questions

Can I use Spotify songs?
Spotify doesn’t allow third-party iOS apps to play its tracks — online or offline. The only option would be remote-controlling the Spotify app, which means ads on the free tier, no fade control, no ceremony timeline, and no protection if Spotify crashes mid-processional. For ceremony music, Apple Music is the right choice — WeddingPlayer builds directly on top of it. Most songs are available on both platforms, and you can also import any local audio file (MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF).
Does it work without WiFi?
Yes. Every track is stored on your device. Works in airplane mode. No streaming, no buffering, no signal required.
Can’t I just use Apple Music?
Apple Music can’t mix streaming tracks with your custom-edited files in a single playlist. It has no ceremony timeline, no fade-out controls, and no protection against operator error. WeddingPlayer is the ceremony layer on top of Apple Music — your library is already there.
What if I need to pause or fade out?
One tap in either Setup Mode or Live Mode. The track fades out smoothly over 2–15 seconds (you choose). You watch the room and end the music when the moment is right — not when the track decides to end.
Who presses play on the day?
Anyone you trust — a friend, a family member, your venue coordinator. Live Mode locks the playlist so they can’t accidentally play the wrong song or the wrong version. The controls are deliberately oversized — designed for nervous hands, not tech experts.
Can I use it for the reception?
Yes. Create separate events for ceremony and reception, each with their own playlist and settings.
What devices?
iPhone, iPad, and Mac. iOS 18 and later.
How do I connect to the venue’s speakers?
Check with your venue. Many have Bluetooth connectivity to their PA system — just pair your iPhone or iPad. Others have a 3.5mm aux input or a USB connection. Ask the venue coordinator before the day so there are no surprises. Bring a backup cable just in case.
How much does it cost?
For couples: £7.99, one-time purchase, yours forever. No ads, no tracking. For venues hosting multiple weddings: £49.99/year with easy reset between couples. Both tiers include a free demo mode so you can try everything before buying.
